Gatsby Gin Description

Gatsby Gin is produced by House of Gatsby and is distilled in Europe using traditional gin-making techniques. It is conceived as a homage to F. Scott Fitzgerald, the chronicler of the Jazz Age, and the parties of his character Jay Gatsby. The recipe combines classic gin botanicals with the essence of Marc de Champagne, a component derived from champagne production that has been matured in oak before use. The botanical bill is built around seven selected ingredients that complement this champagne element: turmeric, angelica, juniper, lemon, orange, coriander and licorice.

During production, traditional gin botanicals are distilled together with the Marc de Champagne essence to achieve a balance between citrus freshness, herbal structure and the rounded notes contributed by the matured marc. Turmeric brings a gentle warmth and earthy spice, while angelica and coriander provide depth and a classical gin framework. Lemon and orange peels contribute bright citrus tones, and licorice introduces a subtle sweetness and softness to the texture.

On the nose, Gatsby Gin shows a combination of citrus and herbal notes, with orange and lemon supported by juniper and a light hint of spice. On the palate, the gin is structured and precise, with citrus at the forefront, followed by herbal and spicy nuances from turmeric, angelica and coriander. The Marc de Champagne essence adds a smooth, rounded impression and a discreet vinous character. The finish is clean and moderately long, with lingering citrus and gentle sweetness.

The bottle design is an important part of the identity of Gatsby Gin. Inspired by the Art Deco lines of the Chrysler Building in New York, it has received an international design award for its architectural form. In cocktails, Gatsby Gin has been highlighted for use in classic recipes such as the French 75, where its connection to champagne is particularly relevant, as well as in dry martinis and gin and tonics where its citrus and herbal profile can be clearly perceived.
