Mint Sprig.
Flavored Gin · 40 % ABV · BE
Persian peaches, imported specially for the recipe, sit at the centre of this limited BUSS N°509 edition. It is built on White Rain, the multi-gold-medal gin from the same Antwerp house, and bottled at 40% ABV. Buss Spirits states plainly that no artificial flavouring, colouring or added sugar goes near it.
Floral · Fruity · Vanilla
The botanical list behind the fruit is the familiar one: juniper, coriander, cardamom, orange, lemon, angelicaAngelicaThe root of a tall umbellifer, earthy and musky. After juniper and coriander it is the most common botanical: it binds the aromas and holds the finish.Glossary, vanilla, liquorice and iris, chosen to accompany the peach rather than compete with it. The pale colour in the bottle comes from extraction alone. Because the fruit is infusedInfusionFruit or plants are steeped in the spirit to release their flavour. Done after distillation, infusion often adds colour too, and the gin can no longer be called London Dry.Glossary during production, the sweetness you taste is the peach itself, which keeps the gin dry enough to mix.
Peach arrives immediately on the nose, wrapped in soft vanilla with a light floral signature from iris and a discreet citrus edge.
The palate carries that same controlled sweetness, balanced by the acidity of lemon and orange, while coriander and cardamom raise the aromatics and juniper stays clearly identifiable underneath. Texture is smooth and rounded without the density of a liqueur, and the finish keeps a stone-fruit note going after the spirit has faded.
Pair it with a neutral tonic to keep the peach precise, and keep the garnish small: a thin slice of peach, or a twist of lemonTwistA strip of peel twisted over the glass to release its oils, then dropped into the drink.Glossary zest if you want more lift. Measure 4cl, add 10cl of chilled tonic over large cubes, and stir once. In cocktails the balance between fruit and botanicals makes it useful in simple long drinks and in variations on classic gin recipes, where the peach supports the juniper instead of replacing it. Being a limited edition, it is the kind of bottle worth buying twice if the fruit suits you, since the peaches behind it are imported for a single run.
