Best enjoyed with Fever-Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water, garnished with Apple slice and Mint sprig.
See the perfect serveBUSS N°509 Belgian Apple Gin is produced in Antwerp by Buss Spirits, a company known for its work on fruit-forward gin compositions that retain a classical juniper foundation. The Belgian apple component is sourced from regional orchards, allowing the fruit expression to remain linked to local agricultural identity. The botanical set includes juniper berries, coriander, cardamom, vanilla, angelica, orange, lemon and liquorice, chosen to provide aromatic structure rather than overt sweetness.
On the nose, the gin opens with a clear apple note supported by soft citrus elements and restrained spice. The palate reveals a measured balance between fruit presence and the underlying botanical framework, with orange and lemon contributing definition while coriander and cardamom deliver a quiet aromatic lift. The texture remains dry with a faint roundness associated with vanilla and the natural apple infusion, without syrupy or candied impact.
In keeping with Buss Spirits’ production approach, Belgian Apple Gin does not rely on artificial colouring or added sweetening, and the fruit infusion is integrated during production rather than applied as post-flavouring. The bottle presentation follows the N°509 visual identity, maintaining the coded series while differentiating itself through a warm yellow chromatic register tied to the fruit profile.
Recommended service includes a neutral tonic to preserve the apple clarity, and garnish is generally kept minimal. In cocktails, a highball format allows the botanical line to remain perceptible while providing room for controlled dilution, avoiding dominance of fruit notes over the underlying gin structure.

Garnish with a thin fresh apple slice and a small sprig of fresh mint.

On sent vraiment le bon goût de la pomme fraîche, c'est super gourmand et naturel. C'est doux, légèrement sucré comme il faut, et ça n'a pas du tout ce côté chimique ou anisé que je redoute. Une vraie réussite belge !
