1128 Gin Frutos Vermelhos is a Portuguese flavoured gin produced by Portucale Premium Drinks under the 1128 Gin label. The range is presented by the producer as a tribute to the year 1128, when Afonso Henriques, the future first king of Portugal, began the struggle that led to the country's independence. Within this context, the Frutos Vermelhos edition uses red fruits to connect the gin to Portuguese ingredients and to a contemporary interpretation of national heritage.

According to the producer, the gin is composed of seven red fruits, including pomegranate, aranto and goji berries, all described as having antioxidant properties. The botanicals used in 1128 Gin Frutos Vermelhos are first divided into two groups and placed in separate infusions for around 72 hours. Each infusion is then distilled, and only after distillation is the final blend assembled, with the different fruit components integrated into the base spirit.

The aromatic profile is built around red-fruit character from the blend of berries, supported by classic gin botanicals such as juniper. Pomegranate and goji berries contribute both sweetness and acidity, while aranto and the other fruits reinforce the overall red-fruit impression. The producer characterises the result as a very elegant gin, both in the glass and on the palate, with the fruit elements designed to complement rather than completely dominate the underlying gin structure.

Bottled at 38% alcohol by volume and sold in 700 ml bottles, 1128 Gin Frutos Vermelhos fits into the category of flavoured gin with a clear red-fruit focus.
